The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Support Technician to work in Prof. Carles Bo’s research group. This position will be funded by the project 01-479 "Open-Data for Computational Chemistry and Material Science: ioChem-BD" of the call "OSCARS 1st Open Call for Open Science Projects and Services" financed by the project 101129751-OSCARS of the call HORIZON-INFRA-2023-EOSC-01-01 of the Horizon Europe programme.

ICIQ is looking for one Junior Software Developer to work in the Oscars project in the development of GUIs for Web applications and computational workflows.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The candidate will develop Graphical User Interfaces for Web applications and computational workflows. Documentation of the new codes and creation of user manuals.
Requirements:
- CFGS (Desenvolupament d'aplicacions web), or equivalent, or superior
Valued qualities:
- Programming skills:
- Strong understanding on HTML, CSS and Single-page applications (SPA)
- Python, JavaScript language, jQuery toolkit
- Interactive & Responsive Design: Bootstrap toolkit
- Familiarity with UI/UX Principles - Proficiency with content composition, design, prototyping
- Open to learning new technologies, frameworks and best practices
- He/she should be a motivated, open-minded, highly dynamic and a team player.
- Proven good knowledge of English (written and oral).
- Capable of working in a team, decision making, creative thinking and problem solving.
- Strong commitment for scientific research in a competitive environment.
- Good communication skills
We Offer:
- A temporary full-time employment contract linked to the project OSCARS-01-479 ending on 31/12/2026.
- Remuneration according to individual’s qualification/experience
- Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
- Incorporation: January 2026.

Selection Process
ICIQ’s selection process usually entails the following phases:
- Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates’ CVs.
- Interview & practical exercise: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee. The interview will include a practical scientific glass blowing exercise at ICIQ.
- Offer Letter: Once the successful candidate is selected, the People Unit will extend a Job Offer, specifying the start day, salary and overall job conditions.
